I've been sceptical of Boris but he does seem to defy the odds: Winning Mayor of London as a Conservative candidate, renegotiating the Withdrawel Agreement which was said couldn't be done, cornering Labour into supporting a general election while it was against their interests, winning a general election by a landslide; breaking the dead-lock in Parliament and getting the Brexit deal through... now beating Corona with what was said was 50/50 odds.

You can say he's a buffoon, a liar etc, but (beating Corona asside, which has nothing to do with politics) he's one hell of a politician.
