The country was Literally founded on the issue of taxation without representation. Why do you think its ok to take from my pocket for something you want but i don’t?

The myriad of services can be axed tomorrow as far as i am concerned, we want want want but fail to see the cost of all these unnecessary services. Same for parks and libraries some states have minimal fees to enter which is a fairer system. Keep Police, Firefighters and EMS, thats it.

Roads are paid for by liquid fuels taxes most places, and vehicle registration, drives license fees ect, again a system where the user bears more of the cost. The problem that is upcoming is that bike facilities are being built with out a funding source so vehicles users are stuck paying for facilities they don’t use.

And local governments get a portion of income taxes and for the retirees they spend 30+ years paying income taxes to pay for their home, they should be able to live in their home for the rest of their life without worry of loosing it due to excessive property taxes.
