Wasn’t the constitution meant to be upgraded

you being there is a literal walking talking example of multiculturalism

On an extremely micro level you are correct. But, saying a society is multicultural when 99.7 percent are essentially one race is pushing it a bit.

Imagine walking into an office and there are 99 men who are full time workers, and there is one women who works part-time, AND the head-manager said, 'there is no sexism or gender discrimination here.' I would be a bit suspicious; although that could certainly be true, it just isn't the case most of the time.

So, you are pushing the idea that Japan has is multicultural society, akin to say, the US, Brazil, Mexico, or even the UK... statistically speaking it's much closer to Taiwan or South Korea, and just because in all of these places people wear Western style suits it doesn't mean they are all at the same multi-cultural level. That's got to be the most bizarre statement on multi-culturalism I've come across, and being from San Francisco I've heard some pretty off the wall statements about what is and isn't multi-cultural.

BTW, I did happen to see about 200 young women wearing kimonos yesterday, although it was at a train station next to a large university and yesterday was its graduation ceremony day, the kimono will probably always have a place in this society.

Again, you keep insisting I'm being defensive, I guess that's your word of the day? I'm going to guess you've been mis-educated. Like many/most Millennials and Gen Zers, you've been fed a plethora of anti-American propaganda. My suggestion is you travel outside the US for a while, maybe live outside the US if you have the cajones. You'll find that America, is, in fact, an extraordinary place with a rich and respectful history. It's not all rainbows and unicorns, but no place is, and you shitting on America isn't edgy or raw. People who spend their time openly hating are generally unhappy, they just want to make others the same. No thanks. Have a great day!
