Hey guys, I need a little advice. I am applying to the USMC PLC program for aviation. I was diagnosed about two years ago by my doctor with depression. I took medication for a few months, then discontinued use. I was cleared off the medication by my doctor, and told I was good to go. I even met with an AME, and was cleared hot to get my FAA Medical even with knowledge of this history (I have 19 flight hours for what its worth).

For those that ask I sustained an injury playing college sports, which effectively ended my playing career and set back my academic career as well. I could not eat or sleep as a result of the injury, and lost a lot of weight (because I could not physically eat), gave up my roster spot and ended up withdrawing from the school because my treatment took me away from class for too long a period for me to pass. This lead to a brief bout of "depression". I am 100% healed now.

In hindsight I do not think I was depressed at all, I have never had any issues before, nor have I had any since. I think a lot of it had to do with not being able to eat.

But anyway, like I said I have been off of medication for a good time now, not currently prescribed anything, never had been before that point. I've been the pinnacle of health. I am meeting with a recruiter and I have to fill out a form disclosing wether I have ever been prescribed mood altering drugs. Should I disclose this information to my recruiter? I know that the penalty would probably be me being barred from consideration. I do not want to do the wrong thing, I also do not want to shoot myself in the foot.

If this question comes across wrong, I am sorry. I just want to do the right thing, I feel that I am very competitive for the program and I have dreamed of being a military aviator since I was about 3 years old .
