If there are any recruiters on here, is it true that the military can only give you a waiver for past medical conditions? Not present ones? (When I say “medical condition”, it’s nothing serious. It’s not causing me any real issues.)

That’s what my recruiter told me, but somebody I know in the Air Force- a Senior Master Sergeant- told me to try to go around my recruiter and see what MEPS thought because he didn’t believe it, but I don’t see how that would even possible. (The medical issue appeared AFTER I was already sworn in and had a ship date to BMT, but I couldn’t go because of it. Now I’ll have to redo the entire enlistment process.)
