Weekly /r/climbharder Hangout Thread for August 20, 2018

I'm annoyed with how little practice it feels like I have time for before I'm too spent. Been climbing for four months now starting from very weak physical fitness baseline (female, minimal muscle strength esp upper body and core, but not overweight), just learning to lead climb, starting to really focus on technique, in the gym 3-4 days a week paying attention to not overdoing it. Can climb 5.9 and "5.10-" when trying hard but I know I'm being so sloppy. Would love to feel smooth and strong but it feels like progress is so slow and I get so little actual practice before I run out of juice. Any advice or words of encouragement? Should I just be climbing way under my grade so I can do marathon gym sessions and skip trying hard on the routes I'll need to be able to do to climb lead in my gym?
