Weird--I meet Satan and he tells me to worship an ancient Hindi God.

The thing that stood out to me the most was the moment you didn’t condemn the guy. He said you should worship Brahman and I take this to mean – you don’t see sharply in terms of opposites, so you can’t really worship me because I’m all about seeing in terms of opposites. When we see people as the bad guy we’re projecting Satan-like qualities onto them without seeing we’re actually possessed by that archetype, we’re worshipping, or serving Satan, which really is a power-drive that comes from an unconscious sense of inferiority (“me good, them bad”).

The other thing that stood out is where Satan said he worked for Brahman and he accepted he was more powerful than him. To me this is saying – the devil actually serves a purpose in a functional sense, he serves God in a way, because this ability to see one thing from another is how we become conscious of things. Without discernment there is no good or evil, and without discernment there is no devil, but also no consciousness. Discernment is a double edged sword, we can become more conscious but we can also see good and evil too sharply in things and forget the bigger picture, that good and evil are in us, which would be the Brahman holistic view.

I think it was interesting how he looked like an ordinary person, he didn’t have horns, a pitchfork and seemed like this unassuming character. I think it may be a sign you’ve got a mature personality, you’re able to view things in a more impartial way than this intense black and white where your ego would view the devil as some obviously black evil figure.
