BWahahah reminds me of a fun story. Friend A said to Friend B “OMG we have the same bag!” Friend B said, “Mine is a real Gucci that cost me $5,000. Yours is a knockoff. You’re a moron” To which Friend A said, “Who’s the moron that spent nearly $5,000 more on a bag that most people can’t distinguish?” We were in our early twenties. Friend B married rich. And yes, this absolutely happened. I love recalling it. Friend B got BEAT!

I get that shallow people can tell the difference, but those are people you can keep out of your life easily for the low cost of a $70 ring. Then spend the rest on tickets to the islands where you can actually be together, you and your partner. Not you and your ring.
