Capitalism is only not slavery if you are a capitalist yourself and you live off surplus value extracted from your workers, all while you pat yourself on the shoulder, saying how great a job creator you are.

Given your derisive comments about lazy bums waiting for handouts rather than having empathy for people who have no chance to succeed in the hierarchical system which concentrates ever more capital in the hands of ever fewer people - leaving many with nearly nothing other than the chance to fight for scraps.

Well, at that point, being a lazy bum on welfare is probably the more preferable and dignified alternative to being a disrespected, expendable minimum wage worker.
