What are the most successful games in terms of community and developer support?

I am SRL. Use to be one of the best Halo trickers of all time. Ask Duelies, Grumpy, DrBizz, and all the other tricking legends, they would agree. I also played with some of the pros in the Halo 2 days. Simply put, I am a long-term Halo fanatic who was deep into the scene. Personally, I believe Halo 1 and Halo 2 only succeeded because the Halo community was creative innovators who did things no one else was doing at the time. Think about the development of capture cards, about Mythica, console extensions and modifications, the success of Major League Gaming, the tricking community, etc... they really helped develop and pioneer a lot of things that changed gaming. So, I agree when it comes to the early Halo community, but disagree about the developers. I am forever grateful that Bungie archived many of my early videos and many other HIH videos. I am grateful that they gave us many shout outs. However, during and after Halo 3, it's like they gave up or something. They basically neglected the Halo community, especially the tricking and competitive community. I felt like Bungie intentionally tried to destroy us, the tricking community, and I felt like they screwed over the competitive scene. I feel bad for Walsh, the Ogre twins, Pistola, Naded, Strongside, Neighbor, and all those old school comp guys. They took Halo to the next level. They did so much for the game and yet, Bungie basically stood by and let it all fall apart until even Major League Gaming gave up, which is saying a lot, because Halo is what launched MLG into success.

It seemed like 343 Industries tried to be more supportive and it helped for a while, but ultimately it seems like the Halo community just won't ever be what it was. Halo could have been even more successful if the developers had listened more. By the time they did, since it was obvious that they were a detriment to themselves and hurting their sales, it was a little too late.
