What are some final posts by regular Reddit users who have passed away?

Not on reddit, but in real life. Friday, my dad had a stroke and fell and hit his head. The doctors told us he was stable and we talked to him on the phone when he woke up. (He lived in Florida, the rest of our family live in Georgia) We were going to drive down there to see him but once the doctor told us that he was awake and we got to talk to him on the phone, my mom decided to stay since she was now the only one working and I was supposed to start school yesterday. The phone call was the last I ever got to talk to him. Im a bit of a runner-ish, but my dad never got to got to see me run at a track meet or a cross country meet. The conversation went like this, and it was very brief.

Me: Hey dad

Dad: Hey son

Me: How are you doing

Dad: Im good (something along the lines of "im doing well")

Me: Good, Im glad youre doing well dad

*silence for about 10 seconds

Dad: Have you been running a lot

Me: Yeah

*more silence

Me: alright here is mom ( then i handed the phone to my mom)

mom: your dad says he loves you

me: tell him I said I love you too

He developed a hematoma on the side of his head from the combination of the blood clot from the stroke and the fall. Yesterday morning my mom got a call that he wasnt doing well, and was probably going to die. The doctor asked my mom what my dads wishes were. He never wanted to be on life support, but he was kept on it because he was an organ donor. That bought us some time, so we got to see him for a few minutes as soon as we got there. Then a neurosurgeon brought us into a room to talk about a last ditch effort to remove some of the clot in his head( the hematoma was rapidly moving into his brain). It wasnt an hour we were there that he was taken into surgery. In the hotel we got a call that he was stable and just waiting to wake up. So hearing that news I was happy so I went to sleep( I had not slept in 24 hours). When I woke up I was told that contrary to being told that the surgery had went well, "the surgery didnt go as planned." He was rapidly deteriorating and we were waiting to start unplugging some of his equipment. This morning he passed away.

tl:dr Never trust doctors
