This was before AITA - it was on /r/relationships when that was the big sub, but I feel like it fits this thread. It was so bad it's stuck with me this long.

Now, I don't know if the post was real or some made up story. I don't give a shit. What I do care about is that the commenters in the update post were happy about this. They were genuinely salivating over the fact that some apparent woman was literally beaten by her parents that that she deserved her consequences because she had let her brother take the fall for the indiscretion immediately. Never mind that his original "consequences" were nothing like she faced for it after coming clean.
All I know is that that was the post that convinced me to never ever ever take comments on a reddit "advice" subreddit seriously.
