First, I hate the red pill. I don't know much about it but I would think most people here would be smarter than falling into that shit. TRP is an ideology. It only gets half of the story when it comes to success with women. What TRP, or at least a lot of what I think people are missing from it, is time preference.

They get some things right, -- your points about Misc and controlling women - I think Misc is correct in some cases. Some women are like that. I used to have a roommate that had a lot of success bringing home women only while treating them like that. But they were all stupid sluts honestly and that's what he knew he was getting.

Peterson has said on multiple occasions that Jesus is the meta-hero character that has the proper traits recognized by society in order to rise to the top of all dominance hierarchies. Or at least evolutionarily, people have flocked towards the story of Christianity under those leadership traits. Confidence is certainly one of those traits.
However Jesus was also celibate and there's something to say about that sacrifice too. It's archaic and inapplicable but there's still a lesson - those who act with those traits, or sacrifice on par with that, (hopefully not celibacy though) will be those that are most likely to be placed above all others. Kind of a digression but still worth mentioning if you're talking about getting to the top of the hierarchy.
Anyway, myself and plenty of guys I'm friends with are exactly the same in that they have drawn some wisdom from the group but do not consider themselves in any way a part of it. There are times to use it, and times when not to use it. You have to size up the girl you're flirting with. And the context of the situation. And it depends on the girl you want.
One dimensional douche bags will use it all the time - I knew a lot of them. A lot of people in TRP are try to emulate this and I knew a couple people that frequented that sub and they were entirely insufferable autists.
You want to be multidimensional. Generally better guys know who they're talking to and when there's more to be said than just sexual confidence. There's the confidence, but also a more than that. A lot of guys that use this stuff look like douche bags but they're pretty decent and interesting people. You want to show that side of you if you want to be more successful than what just TRP would get you.
