What is awesome about babies?

Not a parent, but I’m an aunt to a 1 year and I babysit her almost everyday. It’s so interesting watching them absorb and learn what’s around them as they grow. This is probably really dumb example but it’s my fav memory of my niece. One day I was drinking from a juice box with a straw, and my niece wanted some. Indicated by her saying ‘ah ah ah’ with her mouth wide open leaning towards me. Well we’ve never given her a drink via straw till then, so she had no idea how to use it. So I spent the next 20 minutes teaching her how to use a straw. It was so interesting to me watching her slowly figure out the mechanics of using a straw. Now she grabs straws and just puts them in her mouth even if there’s nothing to drink. I love her so much she’s recently started walking, so she’s going to be a lot to handle.
