I was at my boyfriend's house and we were in the basement. We both were asleep when I heard footsteps came down the stairs fast. It woke me up and I watched the door expecting his mom or step dad to bust open. Instead, the door creaked open slowly.

I still thought it was one of them so I pretended to be asleep. I laid frozen there for like five minutes. I slowly opened my eyes to look and see if it was one of them, and no one was there.

I got ballsy and got up to see if they were just hanging in the open area. As soon as I put my head out the door the footsteps came again. I ran and jumped on the couch slamming the door behind me. I thought that was scare off his parents, but no. The door slowly creaked open again and I just laid there frozen. While I was lying there, I remembered that I never heard someone go back up the steps. I freaked and just stayed frozen there until i fell asleep.

When we woke up the next morning i asked him if he saw or heard anything. He didn't do i told him what happened. He laughed and said that there was an old woman who haunted their house. He knew because she would randomly throw shit at him. I never stayed the night there again.
