Story time! I went to a Catholic high school, so occasionally we would have mass in the afternoon instead of class. It didn't happen too often - just for significant Jesus-days like Good Friday. This one mass, we were given these small stones to place in a pile near the alter. It was odd, but when you're given the afternoon off from class you don't question such foolery.

We had this school nun(who wasn't actually a nun, just a self-righteous middle-aged woman who regretted not being an actual nun) who would preside over these things. She was honestly more of admin-type than a religious figure but she is relevant to the story as she was directly in front of me and a buddy who were sitting side by side. After placing our rocks in the designated pile, I made the joke of "Oh no! We forgot to put our rocks in the pile! We should throw them from here!". Admittedly dumb joke.

Next thing I know, the Principle (bald man who looks like a perpetually angrier Jason Stathom) drags us out of the church, and in the alleyway between the church and the high school starts to scream at us. He shrieked that we were disgraces to the school, to the whole human race, that he was fucking ashamed that we went to his school and that we would grow up to live in the same kind of alleyway we were currently getting reamed out in. After screaming at us until he was red in the face, he told us we would have to pick up garbage for the rest of the afternoon and for the next weeks lunch breaks. We were both completely dumbfounded. I mean, we literally had no idea what we had done that would have prompted such an outburst.

Turns out, the school "not-really-a" nun thought we were joking about stoning her to death. She was total nutbar.

TLDR: School nun almost got stoned. Somehow it was my fault
