A little late but when I was 15 or so I got this idea to switch everyone’s Christmas decorations in my neighborhood. I started small. A neighbor had a gas light post with a snowman head fixed to it. I took it directly across the street and placed on their gas lamp. By morning it was corrected. That night the neighbor bolted down the snowman head. This was a challenge! I grab some pliers and a wrench and quietly removed it. I bolted down the snowman had to the other neighbors lamp loudly..it was hassling me. I sprinted back home and watched as they were confused to how or why the snowman head was now bolted to their lamp. I grew bold. I set out the next night on the greatest prank of all time. I swapped every plugged in decoration on every single house in my neighborhood of 25-30 multi family homes. It took me hours. I swapped deers, Santa’s, lights, inflatable decorations, candy canes, and literally whatever else. I would unplug them and set them up across the street. Plugged in and everything. Well I made a few mistakes like tripping over a tie down to a giant Santa and yelling “ooof!” And a girl approached me and accused me. Her dad thought what I did was hilarious but her mom was pissed. I left the state to go to my grandparents and I get a call from my friends saying the cops are looking for me because I stole all the decorations. My mom overheard and freaked out and called the station and put me on with the cops. I told them where it all should be and and they said stop wasting their time and that was that. The only bad thing was my neighborhood stopped decorating after that. Quite noticeably.
