I taught at a school a few years back, ages 6-12. Some kids took to calling each other a gay slur, it spread around the school, so the head of the school sat the kids down, told them what that word meant, that it wasn't okay to call people that, and that being gay wasn't bad. Under the proposed law, that conversation would have been illegal because, "Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3". You can't explain how sometimes two men or two women love each other, or that sometimes people realize that they're not the gender everyone thinks they are, and that's okay. That's all banned.
