What do you hate most about Facebook?

Everything.

What I really hate is how it highlights how petty people are when it comes to perceived "popular people". That girl or guy that has 1000 friends and everyone loves and is generally a good guy/girl. But they could put up a picture of their fresh turd and it'd get 100s of likes just because it's them and people want to be seen liking stuff the popular person is doing. Anyone else could post the exact same content and barely get a handful of likes.

I'm a relatively popular guy, have a core of good friends and a very good social life - go on holiday once a year, go to plenty of sporting events, gigs and nights out so it's not like I'm jealous or anything but facebook actually gives me some sort of social anxiety when looking at what other people are up to. It's like it's become a big competition to post what you're doing.

And actually I've often been on nights out that were average at best, but you see pictures from the night the next day on facebook and people are posing it up like it was the best night ever and it just makes you realise how it's all a sham.

The other bit I hate is how when you boil it down, you have a handful of close friends, work/school/college buddies, acquaintances/friends of friends that you see often and then family. And then you have old friends that you never see anymore, old friends of friends, people you used to work with or be in school/college with and those people probably make up 4/5s of your timelime. So you block a bunch of them because you can't delete people in case you run into them, etc. It all just becomes pointless.

There are better ways to save/share photos and videos online now, and a ton of instant messengers to keep in touch. Facebook is just a narcissists dream and all these reasons are why I log in about once every 3 weeks these days and then instantly regret doing so.

Or maybe I just have issues.. who knows?
