You don't have to believe your eyes or my words, just search "M1 air screen quality" in your favorite Mac forum and you'll find people who are sensitive and attentive to the quality of displays universally panning the Air display from about 2018 to now. The M2 air uses a different panel tech and type and is much better fit for graphic design use.

Here's a 10 page thread starting in 2018 and latest updated at 5am this morning of users complaining in great detail about how many M1 air screens are not as good as other Macs or even PCs they are used to, with technical explanations as to why.

The M1 air also gets binned CPUs, the 2019 16" MPB is going to get the opposite end of the binning on everything.
