I finally saw the first episode of Mythic Quest and wondered if you enjoyed it.

I’m enjoying it so far. It’s not IASIP and it’s not aiming to be IASIP; it focuses on the dynamics between the characters and how these dynamics grow and develop overtime. The humour is different, but I don’t think it’s different in a bad way. It’s just a different flavour than what we’re used to.

There are still terrible people in the show, but these people are actually learning from each other and developing as the story progresses. Seasons 1 and 2 were great, season 3 is a little more of a slow burn, but the payoff is worth it in my opinion. It’s funny, insightful, and wholesome, and I think it speaks to the depth and range of Rob, Charlie, David, and Meg’s creative capabilities.

IASIP will always be my favourite comedy of all time, but MQ deserves a chance. It deserves to stand on its own as its own story instead of “that other show that two of the guys who made IASIP also made”.
