First of all just clear your mind, get back into work mode, and start doing the following:

1. Research - do some thorough research on your topic, this means everything from visual research (images), verbal research (synonyms, adjectives, etc), and also some research on your competitors. Take note of all these and put them in one place so you can refer back to them in the making of your logo. (Ex: If your topic is on Bible study, search things like "books", "people", "religion", "relationships" and so on)
2. Brainstorm - once you have done some research, start brainstorming. Create a list of all your ideas and transfer them over to a mind map in which you start to pair similar words or ideas together.
3. Concepting - Once you have narrowed down your research through brainstroming, start sketching out some concepts for your logo. Take the words you have found to make a potential concept, and don't stop at just one even if you think it will work. Make MANY concepts so you have a wide array of options to choose from.
4. Designing - At this point you will have found a concept you are leaning towards and from there you can start refining it and making it as good as it can be in digital format.
