Started off with the usual threatening suicide if I would leave her.

Became mentally, physically and emotionally abusive.

I left her along with the rest of my belongings as well as my cat, as I couldn't take them with me as she was physically stopping me from doing so.

Kept getting letters of "I love you, please come back" essentially "I'll be better I swear" except she never had a critical mind about herself to realise she had any sort of problem.

Kept letting me know she knew where I was at random times and where I worked or what I was wearing through texts I never responded to.

Two years later, after not having seen or responded to her or her communications, I asked for my cat back and she proceeded to nuke my prospects of becoming a cop by claiming domestic battery assault on me.

Case still ongoing, as that was 5 years ago, and I've not seen her in 7 then. At least I got my cat back, eventually.
