What is the nastiest thing you've ever experienced?

The way a friend's relationship went to shit and how his new relationship formed immediately after.

Two really insecure people who would refuse to communicate and trust each other. Both believed that the other one was fucking perfect, while they believed themselves to be horrible. To keep it short, it was fucking stressful and taxing for both of them. Of course this ended badly. Friend was destroyed. Completely heartbroken.

Until he met the new girl 2 weeks later or something like that. Thing is, she had a boyfriend , apparently began to love my friend and hate her boyfriend, but wouldn't leave her boyfriend. Out of pity and her "bad conscience". Her conscience didn't stop her from stringing both along at the same time, for months. To keep it short, it was fucking torture for my friend. And his new girl's ex.

To my surprise, this second relationship developed into pretty healthy.

This didn't happen to me directly, of course. But I was right there and couldn't do anything but watch. Does that still count?
