Not to rant, but here goes.

Had a best friend, let's call her MP, for 15 years. She started dating an older man (my parents age-- late 40s) when we were 18, 19 or so.

(Oddly enough, used to party - adjacent to my parents friend group "back in the day."

He got her into drugs, weird sex situations, etc. But the straw that broke the camel's back (and our friendship) came down to an accusation regarding littering.

All of us worked in the same tourist town in the summer, and one day as my sister and I are driving home, this crazy guy on a motorcycle passes us on the center line while there is another string of cars in the incoming traffic lane. This is a normal country-esque back road, windy and hilly.

We promptly sick our middle fingers in the air, honk, and start talking shit about the stranger with a death wish.

Five minutes later, my sister gets a call from MP screaming how we almost killed her BF by throwing trash at him while he was on his motorcycle.

I asked her if she believed I'd either lie to her or litter, she responded she believed him and I was full of shit.

This was the end for us, kids.

Was I capable of hating every fiber of her BF? You bet. Did I cuss out a stranger in a fit of roadrage? Yep. Suffer being accused of littering? WHY, I NEVER!
