I kind of agree, I see people drop a show, give it a 1/10 and call it "overrated" way too often. However I don't think 1/10 scores are always like that.

Recently I finished Eromanga-sensei, gave it a 2/10. I would have gave it a 1/10, but I knew people would think I'm exaggerating. So I thought a 2/10 felt more like a "real" score, not real in the sense that that's how I actually feel, but people will actually believe that score.

I don't look at the show and think it's overrated, I hate that term, I just think it's a terrible show. I've watched stuff like Mars of Destruction or Skelter+Heaven and gave them both 1/10s, but I hate Eromanga-sensei a lot more than both of those. And it's not that I think it's a 1/10 show based solely on my enjoyment of it, I think it's that bad.

tl;dr - I agree but I don't think you should dismiss every 1/10 score cause the show is popular, some of those scores are legit.
