For me, he came off as maybe answering the question and then start bringing up other things which then leads to point being lost. Shelby didn't ask why he propose after short amount of time so it seemed off for him to say he's very logical so he took a chance.

For 2nd question, tho I know this isn't a normal engaged couple (as it's an experiment), they have been thru Mexico and now back in US as they continue to mingle with each other. To me, it seemed off that he needed to ponder this, especially when the wedding was coming up.

For 3rd question, he started prefacing things and then didn't answer the question (at least not on camera). Like instead of answering a question straight up, he either preface it with a statement or talks in circles. It's like if someone asks you "How old are you?" and you reply with "How old am I? It's strange, I feel young as age is just a number" instead of simply replying with a number lol
