many studies compare trans suicide rates to the suicide rates of cis people which of course are going to be higher when
trans people are constantly treated like second class citizens and have to jump through hoops and deal with all sorts of bullshit cis people do not
if you compare suicide rates pre-transition to post-transition trans people only, they are much better. they are also continually improving compared to the cis population as trans rights are advancing.
You also say that depression is a "chemical disorder"
because it is? its pretty plainly proven that depression is caused by your brain chemisty being wrong (among other things, obviously). its not a delusion. that's a reach you're making in an attempt to invalidate my point.
also, you can stop calling it "gender indenity DISORDER". i get what you're trying to do but its pointless as GID has recently been reclassified by the DMS as 'gender dysphoria' because its not a disorder. nice try though.
