What was ruined because too many people did it?

Okay a perfect place to post this. I was traveling for work with my business partner and another guy we bring on for jobs. We got an Airbnb which was like an apartment in a complex that had a common area that could be seen by all of the other apartments. We were in town for a couple of days. We noticed that the apartment had several cameras that kept moving back and forth and followed us as we walked around the apartment. It was weird. We went to bed and the next day we went to our job site. I got a call from the host, who was accusatory in a “bro” sort of way. That is the best way I can describe it. He kept saying, “you know what you did and I know it was you, so just admit it.” I was so weirded out. Finally I got him to tell me what he was talking about…”you and your buddies left a couple of used condoms in the fire pit area. If you are going to fuck each other, at least throw out your condoms in the trash”…I was speechless. I actually asked him to repeat himself because I was so taken aback. He said it again. I said, “we are three married guys on a work trip. We went to bed early last night, got up and went to work. I have no idea what you are talking about.” He got angry and said, “I have a witness that says it was three white guys and you guys are the only white guys staying in the complex that I know of, plus we have it on video”. I said, “great! If you have it on video, you can show me and we can see together that it is not us.” He said he couldn’t show me the video for “legal reasons”. I told him I was calling AirBnB and regardless of the outcome would be leaving that night. My colleagues and I rushed back to get our stuff (valuable equipment) and got the heck out of there. I called AirBnB, and to their credit, they refunded our entire stay, paid for a nearby hotel and offered us $700 in addition to it. I realize that I probably could have sued somebody, but I’m not that type of person, so I accepted their offer and we got the heck out of there. I still feel violated when I think about it. What kind of crazy is that?!?
