An action scene that starts by recounting (with a few added details about what the protagonist is thinking, etc.) a particular scene from the movie it is based on, then transitions into "explaining" my very particular interpretation of events that are heard but not seen in the movie, and then transitions again to a climax that is entirely original material neither seen nor heard in the canon source. I was really happy with how I was able to make the sections flow as one cohesive whole and make it seem like just one story being told, where at least if I didn't know it was being Frankenstein-monster-ed together from different places to explain where a character who seems to die actually doesn't I wouldn't really know that was what was going on. And I was really pleased with how satisfied my invented-from-scratch finale felt as a conclusion to it all, from both a story and character level, and it gave me a springboard to write the next two chapters from.
