There are literally people in this thread saying that the ghost in the beginning made them scream and jump out of their seats.
But that's okay, everyone has a different perspective on them. I felt the movie being hyped up for months as "the most horrifying movie in DECADES" was hyperbolic, and there were a lot of sudden-scares in it.
We can agree to disagree, I like seeing all the different perspectives on the movie. It seems that people with family related trauma responded very differently to this film than I did. I just kept expecting something MORE after being told it was so grotesque and terrifying that people walked out of the theatre, and I felt let down. That's all.
