What simple thing did you learn at an embarrassingly late age?

Oh man. I’m sorry that happened to you. Car wrecks are so scary and definitely don’t help that anxious feeling. It could be good to get some therapy so you can cope with those intrusive thoughts? I definitely still have moments of anxiousness when I drive, especially if I have low blood sugar or too much caffeine. However, I knew if I didn’t get a handle on my anxiety that I would put myself and others in danger. It’s almost like I changed my anxiety into awareness. I also really really wanted to drive so I had to change my mind set. A good first step could be just to sit in the car with the engine on and see where your thought and anxiety go. Maybe it’s really bad at first but as you do it more and more you notice it gets less and less. Then when that happens take the car around the block. If you start to feel anxious pull over until it goes away. Hopefully you can keep that up until the anxiety you used to feel is just a distant memory. Baby steps and patience with yourself is key! Good luck deadly_titanfart, I believe in you!!
