What is the strongest opinion you hold?

I can shed some interesting light on this one if you guys don't mind, because It's true, you know. Nobody really knows, I like many, I think I have an idea. It ain't pretty though.

When I was 18 years old something happened which changed my life. Long story short, I dived into mediumship and ghost hunting head first. I didn't go in blind.

My stance has always been the same - There is a scientific explanation for everything - even if it is paranormal. For examples sake, lets say you saw a ghost and it really was a ghost. There's an explanation for that. Is that a dimensional overlap? Are 'they' existing on a different vibration? Can events be imprinted in energy and objects that surround us?

I did mediumship and ghost hunting for around six years. In terms of mediumship, let me tell you, I met a ton of fakes, and a few interesting folk. There are two mediums I knew that were actually pretty scary when it comes to accuracy and it was them I was most intrigued with.

Those two mediums taught me not to assume. They taught me that truly we do not know how we acquire knowledge and anyone who goes about bleating on about 'energy' is either faking it or crazy. After a years training I was super accurate. I still do tarot today and employ mediumship to keep up with this skill and I am still nailing the most obscure shit you could think of. Don't ask me how I do it. I do not know and I would not know how to tell you if I did. I can go into more detail if anyone likes about this but the bottom line is there is no magical genie whispering in my ear. All I know is I'm able to inherit knowledge from somewhere, somehow. So that side of things has always intrigued me.

In terms of ghost hunting. It's fun sometimes and real boring most of the time. Right up until something happens. Then it's blood cooling. It's scary but fear isn't what takes over like the movies like to portray. It's more... weird. I've been in tons of situations where we could explain and have managed to explain phenomena. A handful of those situations were pants shittingly un-explainable and it's those experiences that I shall gladly remember for the rest of my life. I have some great stories to tell my grandkids. The most interesting things we managed to uncover is that 'ghosts' caught on camera really like the infra-red spectrum. They also like ultra-violet. If you're going for ghosts with cameras (which is very rare and hard to catch anything) I strongly suggest you use infra-red or ultra-violet cameras to increase your chances.

When you experience something that you could consider to be truly paranormal, you instantly get a kind of high. It's like "That's the confirmation I didn't know I needed.", and suddenly the weight of life doesn't feel so heavy anymore because you realize that there is something there. There's something to it all. And if you're anything like me, you'll spend the rest of your life chasing that high. Nowdays I record EVP around my County.

I get quite a lot of EVP around here. I've done some seriously interesting personal studies with EVP. I have learnt that whatever is talking in my recordings can hear myself and can respond to myself or people who are with me. Sometimes they will interject into conversation. As I've gotten older, I've realized that's where things get pretty grim.

A lot of these voices ask for help, which really twists a knot inside. I have one place in particular I am looking to return to because very recently I got a female voice begging for help. Of course, I only heard it when I was home. I have a sample of that voice on my site (Which I will share if this doesn't get downvoted to the ground).

The thing that strikes me about EVP is that if we are to assume (only for a moment) that these are people who lived before - the sad reality is that they are now trapped. For eons, some of them. They can see us, they can hear us but we don't see or hear them. We've heard sobs and I've heard children's voices. It's very macabre.

It paints a picture of an estranged existence wherein we lose our mortal shells but continue to drift among a sea of dead, all desperate to reach back out to the living. My issue - my big issue - is that this all gets written off as hokey pokey. Scientifically, not enough attention is being paid. We may never be able to prove if consciousness can exist without the body - we're limited by our technology and our dimension. But there are voices, that anyone can listen to if they should wish to.

This theory raises questions about people who are killed in war. Do they now wander with their enemies? Do they continue to fight on this potential other plane? Some of these voices hide themselves away. I was once in a chapel and took my recorder down some steps into this empty cupboard. I was overwhelmed with feeling. Later that evening on that part of my recording I hear a woman asking me to "Leave right now." I could bleat on for hours, I have so many stories, one of which got very popular and featured on Sondry (It's called 'I'll never know what happened' for those interested).

I'm currently looking for more places in Buckinghamshire (England) to conduct my studies. I'm happy to answer questions reddit may have, but I know you lot don't really go for this kind of thing. Really, I am very sane. Not crazy. Promise.
