What stupid rule at your school impacted you negatively?

Zero tolerance. I was suspended several times for being brutalized even if I did nothing back, so I started going out of my way to attack anyone who said anything to me, because there was a rule that you could make up your work and exams on your own time. I was profoundly ahead of the middle school level in middle school, and I realized very quickly that sports kids were not, and if they bullied me I could really hurt them by taking them out of the classroom.

I was gonna be okay no matter what happened, but they weren't. They were gonna fail if they missed more than once.

Basically, it was true, and the school had to stop it because they realized I was going to keep getting sports kids suspended and that they were not gonna be able to pass, and about that time, they started actually enforcing anti bullying rules.

I beat the system and I will never forget it. But that was the rule. I used it against them until the coaches made the other teachers fix the situation.
