What was the year 2006 like?

Uneventful, it feels like nothing much has changed from 2001 to 2018. 2006 was probably one of the best years for online gaming because of WoW, it was huge back then. Now you have MMO's that are better, but everyone is more spread out over different games, back then everyone was on the same game.

There werent any cryptocurrencies, the space agencies were pretty quiet, and nobody had heard of elon musk. The environment/recycling was something we thought would be nice to make things better, but there wasn't much progress towards doing anything about it.

Bush was the US president and that was the "what the fuck is wrong with the usa, how could you elect such an idiot" hot topic. Always in the news and online making jokes about how terrible he was.. now he doesnt seem so bad.
