What is your American impression of Chinese girls?

Funnily enough, while my wife watches cartoons and reads comics every day, most women I know at work watch American TV shows - because Japanese live-action TV just isn't that good, so if you want a good serialized TV show, you look at the American stuff - e.g., a young woman on my logistics team is really into Marvel and Star Wars, and we talk about, you know, the latest episode of Book of Boba Fett or whatever.

But, I don't know. Cartoons and comics are part of the cultural landscape here, but I think the real problem is that American weebs have this idea that "anime" is a special genre or style when it's really just the Japanese pronunciation of "animation." Disney is anime, Clone Wars is anime.

So you are more likely to find a Japanese woman who's into "anime," but it'll be, you know, Frozen I and II or Encanto.
