What is your unpopular opinion about the NBA?

Yeah, everyone who thinks derrick rose needs to be proven guilty before imprisoned, gets labelled a sexist rape enthusiast

No, we think rape is bad. We just think rape like all other severe crimes needs to be proven in a court of law, instead of speculating in news outlets about social media posts and trying to alienate broad groups on people by speculating what philosophies they have.

It's a symptom of a larger short falling of justice in america, where the civil penalties for criminal acts are determined in seperate courts.

There are situations where police and district attorneys determine a charge ought to be dropped, whilst a civil suit proceeds on the premise that those charged with upholding the law feel that the alleged is innocent.

I'm not saying Rose didn't do it, I'm not saying the police won't eventually indict him criminally, but after having seeing tons of people get dragged through the mud because of false accusations, AND after seeing innocent women pressured, raped and then betrayed by law enforcement,

I think anyone who has members in their family they would like society to not be able to rape freely, aught to campaign for major reform not just in the legal system that removes the potential incongruity between criminal and civil rulings, but also for societal reform to ensure that those campaigning for women's rights and protection understand we need objectivity in treating both parties in either case like this.

Derrick Rose said terrible things that seem almost as if he thinks men ought to be expected to take sex from women.

On the other hand, the accuser has a very long and public history (instagrammer with thousands of followers) of engaging in sexual acts immediately after meeting people. This is obviously her right, but it makes it easier to believe that she consented to having sex with derrick rose on that night alongside the fact that she had had sex with him over a prolonged period of many months prior, and she also texted her friends prior to filing the case that she found a solution to her financial woes.

Yet people only care about Derrick Rose saying "we men".

Even if Derrick Rose thinks rape ought to be legal, the evidence is still objectively in his favour. Diminishing the credibility of outcomes of our legal system, in hopes of making the world better for women,

is a symptom of the ignorant over-reactionary culture in america today that thinks our problems are going to be fixed by banning muslims and making a superwall alongside the mexican border.
