Who is paying the UBI then if it’s just a baseline? If it comes from taxes, wouldn’t it just make more sense to not tax the people as highly and therefore they don’t need the UBI?

See the problem with this whole scenario is that it cannot work in practice. Life has too many variables.

The UBI doesn’t make sense when you ask the important questions about where does it originate? How does it make 100% of the population better? Do people who already have wealth have to give up their entire wealth to start this? What if they don’t want to give up what they worked hard for? Does it make them selfish if they want to reap the benefits that they sow? Or does that make them depressed in a dark room because they’re actually focusing in on the logistics of all of this nonsense
