What's the best prank you ever pulled off?

As my boyfriend, James, started his new life at University we thought it would be hilarious to pretend like I didn't exist. We were together for three years at the time so it was a huge operation to remove all traces of me from his Facebook.

James begins his new life and lies to all of his new friends saying that he's single. As a result he gets treated like a lad and his new friends were always trying to wingman for him. He played it all out without ever having to jeopardise our relationship.

A month passes and we decided it was time for the reveal. We let two of his female friends in on the prank so that I could be introduced as "Lucy's cousin's girlfriend." Lucy introduced me to everyone whilst James and I pretended like we had just met.

Plans for the evening was to go to their local pub. Throughout the night James and I started to flirt. This escalated until we staged a hook up by leaving together.

When we get home we ran into another set of his friends. They're a group who were all drunk and had left the pub early. As we entered the house it was incriminating enough to see us together. They all started yelling:

"JAMES IS HOME. HE'S GETTING IT TONIGHT!"

"WHO'S THE GIRL?"

"IT'S LUCY'S MATE!"

We ran to his room but before we could lock the door one of his friends bursts in and shakes his hand, saying "AYYY, James! Congrats man! Can't believe you finally pulled!! So happy for you mate." Then this friend turns to me and says, "and you.. Enjoy your evening!" He was eventually dragged out of the room by the others.

After an hour we hear that everyone's home and socialising in the kitchen. Ready for the reveal, James walks out first and is already hit by drama:

"What have you done?"

"Ricenigga is dating Lucy's boyfriend."

"I don't want to stir up some shit but Lucy was so upset when she saw you leave together."

Apparently Lucy had played her part well. We weren't expecting for her to act upset but it played a golden role in the prank!

James attempts to do some damage control when he says, "guys, wait.. I just want to introduce you to my girlfriend."

"James, please, don't. You just met the girl!"

"... Girlfriend of three years."

The looks on their faces were hilarious! Half of the kitchen was still in denial so we had to prove our history with past photographs. Finally got to make my formal introduction to everyone as James' girlfriend.

His circle of friends was always wondering who he was texting, calling and why he wasn't reacting to anyone else. Not a malicious joke but was fun for everyone involved!
