Happened a couple months ago:
I am talking with my mother in the living room of our house at about 6 o'clock in the morning, it was still pitch black outside.
Our living room is separated from the hallway by a door and a frosted window.
So we're just there chatting away like normal, when suddenly I hear a coin drop from the hallway, I think nothing of it, probably the cats...
I'm standing in the living room and just begin to walk around, looking in the mirror for a second and from the corner of my eye I can see something strange in the window behind me... a man staring at me
When I turn he doesn't flinch, and we lock eyes. After a few seconds my brain clicks and realize it's a burglar. I just start shouting abuse, grabbed an object (candle stick) and began making a loud noise against the door. But by the time I had reached for the candle stick, he had bolted.
A pretty common occurrence, but creepy nonetheless.
