So I had to have endovascular coiling done to clear an aneurysm. I had a breathing disorder that was causing me to choke randomly and often, which caused intense headaches, until one night my blood pressure went up so high that the veins in my brain could barely take it. Not sure if the recovery from all this caused my dream, or was somehow related.

In my dream I was in a house that was supposed to be my own, but wasn't. Dried blood lined the lower walls and carpet edges. I opened a door, and some awful person had killed my girlfriend, sister, and parents, grinded their remains in a bony, bloody froth, and fashioned this gore into a huge sculpture that looked like the face of an Easter island head attached to the wall. I looked at it, horrified, and it twitched, "revealing" to me that my loved ones, despite being completely torn to pieces were still collectively alive and suffering horribly, and trying to make the Moai head speak, or moan. I didn't know how to save them, or kill them. Then I looked at my hands, and saw holes in the skin on the palms of my hands, and within my hand was what looked like wet brain tissue.

That was 21 years ago, but its one of the few dreams that stuck with me.
