What's the sub's opinions of the bosses in ds1?

I'm on my first playthrough, and so far I admittedly haven't been impressed. I played Dark Souls 3 first, so I dunno how much that taints it, but still. The Asylum Demon is a pushover, the Tauros Demon is gimmicky, the Capra Demon is in my opinion one of the most poorly designed boss fights ever, the Gaping Dragon and Quelaag were OK though nothing special, and I'm currently hoplessly stuck on Smough and Ornstein, who I'm finding to be so bullshit hard I'm not even enjoying the game anymore and have been forcing myself to try and power through (I seriously think they might be the hardest bosses I've ever fought; not even Sister Friede in Dark Souls 3 gave me this much trouble.)
