What's the worst case you've seen of someone trying to play the victim when it was all their own fault?

I hear you, friend. UK is rubbish for these sort of settlements. I won a case against an ex-boss for non-payment of wages. She countered (by letter, didn't appear) with bullshit reasons as to why I didn't deserve payment (despite it all going back to her cheques bouncing). I had clients, other staff members testify on my behalf saying what she said was bull. I won that case. Was awarded all my back pay plus compensation. I have never seen a penny. Found out afterwards that she had declared bankruptcy 5 previous times and just reopened a new business under a different name. These people are Class A crooks who know how to work the system. Sorry, I may still sound bitter! :) Happened over 20 years ago!
