As a white person living in the U.S., I want someone to tell me why at 29 years old I’m just learning about the Tulsa massacre from youtube? This is one of the evil acts that whites have committed against black people in our history and I should have learned about it.

It wasn’t a massacre, just like how they found mass graves! But in a cemetery in individual graves which isn’t the definition of a mass grave, it’s a narrative that they need to create. If you’ve actually read the events of what happened the side claiming to have been massacred shot first. They were going to the local jail to help prevent a kid from being hung who had been accused of attacking a white girl working an elevator. They ended up shooting into a crowd and killed a few people, the kid wasn’t going to be hung and wasn’t in danger of being hung. We like to assume things based off of the time but that doesn’t make them true and they are dumb for picking this one because actual racist massacres happened in many of places Wilmington, NC, St. Augustine, FL and Rosewood, FL to name a few.
