Who has it worse? The one who grew up with nothing or the one who grew up with everything and had it ripped away from him in an instant?

with extreme poverty in most places in the world, you don't even GET A CHANCE.

i grew up in poverty, i.e. food stamps, rent assistance, but luckily, i grew up in the US. it's hilarious that some people actually think that being poor in the US is the worst thing ever. if you stay out of trouble, put your head down, and just get EDUCATED... you'll have a decent chance of making it out somewhere.

if you grew up poor in places like... India... or Africa.. you're FUCKED. you probably have like a 1% chance of getting out. you don't get an education. you start working as a child... you pretty much have no chance unless you get real real lucky.

EDUCATION is key.

someone who grew up with everything? probably went to the best private schools, got the best education. even if they lose EVERYTHING, they'll still have that education to rebuild.

i feel liek this question is trying to discuss the mental fortitude of someone poor vs someone rich.

the discussion around how someone poor is "stronger", lol... sure... if THEY MAKE IT OUT ALIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE........... and the rich kid is "sPoiLeD." i know so many people that defy both molds.

so now the discussion boils down to "would you rather be a poor kid and HOPE you make it out or would you rather be an adult who lost everything but can rebuild"

the answer is pretty fucking easy.
