Whose hype do you not believe in?

1) the record isn't a huge deal. But the fact that even with some injuries, wiggins play couldn't lead his team to more wins than the putrid Knicks sixers or lakers shows that wiggins scoring numbers were empty stats. Someone had to put the ball in the basket at the end of the day to make the nightly 90+scored by the team. I never said that he needed to lead his team to 40+ wins, you are exaggerating.

2) the problem is he lacks a pure stroke from outside and this has been the case throughout high school and college, along with his poor 3pt shooting percentages as a rookie. I'm not saying he won't develop into an adequate outside shooter if he works hard, I'm just saying that without an elite jumpshot there will be a huge whole in his offensive game that perimeter superstars really can't afford, looking at guys like Kevin durant harden and curry

3) again I'm not saying he can't improve his handle with hard work. He just lacks the natural fluidity and point guard like handling abilities that most perimeter superstars require like harden, lebron, and kd. They all had the ability to handle the ball like a point guard coming into the league, since the ability to handle the ball like a point guard is just not something you can acquire like that. But once more, I'm not saying he can't improve and become an adequate handler like guys like kawhi and Jimmy butler have done through hard work. It just means he has another deficiency that superstar perimeter players can't afford

4) this point i really disagree with, as it is blatantly untrue and cannot even be argued. Wiggins has the skinniest frame I've ever seen for a guy his level since Kevin durant. Both have the slender frames, narrow shoulders, and skinny bases of guys who simply can not put on much muscle. Since kd has gotten into the league, he really hasn't put on significantly much muscle, and is still a skinny guy. I'm not saying wiggins won't be able to improve his strength to the point where he is no longer getting pushed around if he's willing to work for it, similar to kd. It's just that strength will always be an issue in his game that he must work around. Your body type shows whether you will be the type to gain muscle, and Dwight had huge shoulders and a thick frame that was indicative of his ability to put on a lot of muscle. Look at wiggins and compare him to dwight at the same age. There is no comparison at all. Wiggins will always be a skinnier guy and there is no arguing that

All in all, I don't think wiggins is a bad player. I think he will develop into a solid player who could snab some all star reserve spots throughout his career if he continues to work hard and improve. But the weakness I explained to you are what make me think he is overhyped. He's not a superstar type player moving forward, his ceiling is the second best player on a good team. He is less lebron, Kevin durant, James harden, and Stephen curry, and more kawhi Leonard and Jimmy butler. In a 2-3 years I can see him reaching the all star reserve levels of these guys, that is as long as his team develops into a playoff team which is up in the air
