Why. Why is shit like this on LinkedIn?

TBH they don't. These groups are full of people getting out of the military I saw lots of:

  • Not reaching out to the VA when they're at risk of losing their home. The VA specifically asks over and over and over if you're at risk of homelessness. If they said yes they would have covered up to 1k of expenses to get them through the month

  • Lots of guys thinking they're about to waltz into trades that take years to break into

  • Lots of guys in trade school thinking they're going to make six figures. If they'd even bothered to google instead of taking the sales guy/random facebook user's word they'd find out that entry level welders can expect to make under $20/hr. Not 120k/year

  • Lots of guys going to for profit colleges with bad reputations

  • Lots of these broke fuckers had whole kits of gear at home, AR-15s, bullet proof vests, ammo pouches, night vision goggles. Hilariously boot.. one of them bought new combat boots. Everyone hates combat boots when they're in and it's considered Napoleon Dynamite nerdy to wear them in your off time. But ok the last pair was worn out I guess.

  • Same except ridiculous sports cars and giant lifted trucks.

  • Lots of shit that I wouldn't want to have to answer for while hooked up 12 wires to a federal pre-employment polygraph.

Based on activity in more low-key invite only groups I think there was a heavy troll presence and a bunch of larpers who never served. In the private groups people like that would show up, stick out like a sore thumb, and get banned.
