WIBTA if I told my wife I think her insistence that outside work is 'guy stuff' is an excuse for not wanting to help?

NAH but for this, I imagine a good solution would be to itemize the chores you have to preform outdoors per season and ask for additional support.

Than being said, I grew up in a household where my dad did the bulk of outdoor work, helped with cooking/cleaning/ laundry, and still didn’t understand to extent of labor it takes to upkeep a house.

I think this merits an honest discussion of what you need of each other to upkeep the property both inside and outside. Maybe she’ll be willing to help with cutting the grass if you offer to clean a bathroom or help with weeding if you clean out the fridge etc.

From this post alone, I can’t tell whether or not you help out like that, but from the basics of this post alone, it seems like a discussion should be held between you and your wife to figure out what chores you each do, and how you’re willing to compromise.
