I also used the same Windows 7 Laptop to revert my NVidia Shield software to 8.2.3. As of yesterday, I also used the same Windows 7 laptop to root my Nvidia Shield. Looking at he OPs history, they're not aware of how Kodi works. The OP never provided any details to their setup. Look at the post, "But I can get add-ons to install. Not even the weather add-ons " What they meant to say is, "but I CANNOT get any add-ons to install. Not even the weather add-on." OP needs to be more specific with details in order to get support.
