Without religion...what have people found as a substitute?

I'm religious. There I said it. But dare I say something that is more controversial? I'm of the assumption that life without God is just easier.

Perhaps it is due to my "Total depravity." To enjoy anything that opposes the Creator of the universe comes naturally.

But humanly speaking and without getting into "doctrine" it would still be easier for me.

If I was to do away with religion in its entirety. I won't change much. I'd still prioritize my family. I'd still enjoy what I do to make a living. I'd still invest time in helping my fellow neighbor. The only legacy I'd leave behind is my wealth and wealth of information. Let my "seed" do as they please with it. I'm ok so long as they are happy.

Atheists aren't this sad and lonely bunch who enjoy evil. There is no mention in the bible of them being so. They aren't more or less militant than someone of faith. They're just people. They love. They laugh and cry. They do good. Sometimes we observe online discourse and think that life is really like that. However, the people you run into on the daily basis whether at the store or in traffic are diverse. Some believers, some atheists, all human.
